Just find something else.
Upon arrival, there was no one at the reception desk, so we had to wait, but that was the least of our troubles. Upon entering the room, it became evident that the room photos were taken a long time ago because the inside of the room was dirty, the walls were scratched, and there were food stains on the furniture. Everything looked very unkempt. When we requested to change rooms, the manager responded that all the others were already booked.
Fine. Then, while we were in the city, the manager asked us to return to upgrade the unit card. Okay. We returned. But all that was mentioned above is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what happened next.
After check-out, the host wrote, and I quote, "I hope you don't leave a review because of the cake on the walls. I mean bad review." We sent the host photos of all the dirt that caught our eye, to which he replied, "Well, I can't buy new chairs every time a guest checks in. Do I have to repaint the walls every time someone leaves?" At the very least, they could monitor where guests are being accommodated and not mislead them with photos right after renovation.
Word for word, but the host got so offended that he went to Airbnb to scold us for fabricated reasons, saying that we lost the card and didn't want to pay. But we had already paid for the apartment, and we had no intention of getting a refund.
The most sensitive host on the planet. Nothing manly about it.
