Cozy and convenient stay. Privates are nice and clean although quite small and don't have an ensuite bathroom - bathroom is shared between 2 private rooms. Despite the size, beds were comfortable.
Location is excellent making it easy to explore bodrum. On social scale I would rate it 5/10; not the lost social but you can still meet fellow backpackers.
If you prefer more space and privacy, you can consider booking a hotel for similar price.

I had major hell here. Do NOT stay here. Not worth the money and if you don't sleep and complain, you get screamed at and thrown out.
Initially I booked and asked for a discount as I would pay in cash for 5 nights. It was agreed that I would pay 28 euros per night.
I actually got overcharged despite the agreement and paid 30 euros per night in cash for 5 nights? When questioning this was fobbed off.
Night one and a couple checked in. They should have been allocated a private room as a couple and not a dorm. They came in just after 1am and after turning on the full lights, made such a racket and talking and eating crunchy nuts, watching shows on the phone, and continuously dropping and throwing things. After well over half an hour of this, they came in just after 4am and continuously recommenced the same performance as earlier. Not a wink of sleep night one. Not dorm etiquette at all.
Night two and came in just after 4am same old story yet again. The lady in bed near mine really this time had had enough and the shouting and violence began. The woman of the couple started having a go at me, this is despite me not saying a word. I then got angry as after waking me up yet again, they had the front to lay into me. The couple waving and pointing their fingers at me and being rude shouting.
Of course two nights of paying stupid monies for zero sleep, I just wanted out. On the morning of first night at 5 am I asked if there were a different room from the owner but she did not reply. Later that day in the evening I asked for a refund. She refused.
Today I got only a partial refund after she screamed at me, not shouted, screamed. So I lost £7 for being overcharged initially and now £15 as she kept it saying she was losing money.
She was the victim always. If I said I did not sleep. She said neither did she. If I said I was losing money. She said so was she.
No compassion to simply refund as she could see me and the other girl did not sleep. A total disaster.
If you do choose to stay here, don't pay upfront as really you could lose out big time. I only did as its the holidays right now in this country.
Anyways she should not of shouted and mainly screamed at me as it is not professional and I was not the one doing anything.
Lots of people witnessed this, and for sure heard this. Bad stuff.
Rooms are in a bad way and sheets not changed after people leave. New people on dirty sheets. Floors not washed. Room stank.
I would of got more sleep on the beach. After many years of hostelling, this was one of my worst experiences.
I am pretty sure someone else will be reviewing this place in the near future.
Also never argue on be on a different page from the owner as it her way or the high way. You can never win, even when right as she plays the victim.
Such a shame as she was initially OK, but once money had been paid, she was cold.
Finally the woman of the couple claimed someone in the room undressed her whilst she slept and threw her clothes outside?

Başlangıçta rezervasyon yaptırdım ve 5 gecelik nakit ödeme yapacağım için indirim istedim. Gecelik 28 euro ödemem konusunda anlaştık.

Gece saat 1'den hemen sonra geldiler ve tüm ışıkları açtıktan sonra gürültü yaptılar, konuşup çıtır kuruyemişler yediler, telefonda program izlediler ve sürekli bir şeyler düşürüp fırlattılar. Yarım saatten fazla süren bir çalışmanın ardından sabah saat 4'te geldiler ve daha önceki performansın aynısını sürekli olarak yeniden başlattılar. Birinci gece göz kırpma bile yok. Yurt görgü kuralları hiç değil.
İkinci gece ve sabah saat 4'ten hemen sonra geldi yine aynı eski hikaye. Yanımdaki yatakta yatan bayan bu sefer gerçekten bıktı ve bağırışlar ve şiddet başladı. Çiftin kadını tek kelime etmememe rağmen bana saldırmaya başladı. Daha sonra sinirlendim, çünkü beni bir kez daha uyandırdıktan sonra önleri bana uzanacaklardı. Çift el sallıyor, parmaklarını bana doğrultuyor ve kaba bir şekilde bağırıyor.
Tabii ki sıfır uyku için iki gece boyunca aptalca paralar ödedim, sadece dışarı çıkmak istedim. İlk gecenin sabahı saat 5'te, sahibinden farklı bir oda olup olmadığını sordum ama cevap vermedi. O günün ilerleyen saatlerinde akşam para iadesi istedim. Reddetti.
Bugün bana bağırdıktan sonra değil, çığlık attıktan sonra yalnızca kısmi bir geri ödeme aldım. Bu yüzden başlangıçta fazla ücret aldığım için 7 sterlin kaybettim ve şimdi para kaybettiğini söyleyerek sakladığı için 15 sterlin kaybettim.
Her zaman kurban oydu. Uyuyamadım desem. O da yapmadığını söyledi. Eğer para kaybettiğimi söyleseydim. O da öyle olduğunu söyledi.

gürültü. bulanıklık. Şafak vaktine kadar kapının önünde sohbet ediyoruz. Ev sahibi de bu sohbete katılıyor. Kart almaktan nefret ediyorum. Çok gürültülü ve pis!!! Herkes sarhoş. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum. Sarhoşların ve uyuşturucu bağımlılarının dolu olduğu pis bir yer!!!! Lütfen gitmeyin. Hiç uyuyamıyorsun. Çok gürültülü.... Sahibi de konuşuyor, onu durduracak kimse yok.... Sarhoşların hepsi çıplak ve yatakta yatıyorlar... O kadar kirli ki, sanırım kusacağım.

Very dirty place with lots of narrow stairs
Which as we entered there, couldn’t stay and canceled our reservation.
In 100 meter around there you can find more beautiful and clean places even with cheaper prices.

Reviews for this place were great so we were excited, unfortunately there was no running water the whole time we were there and the doors did not lock at all, were all left open from the street. Very expensive hostel stay for a disappointing experience

We were lucky enough to stay with Sabahat at her beautiful hostel for the last week of une and we had the most incredible time! The hostel is beautiful and right in the center of everything! The hostel is always clean and well organized with beautiful views and a social atmosphere - we felt right at home the moment we got there. Sabahat is amazing - she is so kind and fun and is always doing everything she can to make sure you’re comfortable and are having.a good time. The highlight of our trip had to be the boat trip that the hostel organizes. There were five strips altogether, including islands, all with the clearest water I had ever seen - the whole hostel went and it was one of the best days of our summer! Overall, you will definitely not regret staying at La Luna and in beautiful Bodrum!

One of the worst hostels I've ever been to. Uncomfortable. Overpriced.
Water/plumping does not work most of the time which is a BASIC any accomadation should have. This is a 3rd world problem. Because of the lack of running water, the waste would pile up in the toilets because you cannot flush and a stench would seep into the rooms. Management attempts to deflect responsibility by blaming the local govt and yet no other building on the street suffers the same issue. My dormmate actually used the shower in the hotel opposite the hostel. You'd think one would deduct from the already extortionate price for such a major inconvenience and yet they actually increased the price during my stay, even though the hostel had very few guests during peak season.
Lady who owns the hostel made me feel uncomfortable about the payment process and using communal objects, as though I was going to steal them. She could probably tell I wasn't happy with the quality of the hostel which is why she was paranoid, because she must know to charge 30 EUROS (or 32 now) a night here is pure entitlement.
Woke up one morning and there was a random guy who looked homeless in our room and he suddenly left when I made eye contact with him. There are no locks in the dorms, and essentially anyone from the street could come into the room if they wanted to.
Also the wifi stops working sporadically. When you mention it to staff the query is ignored or there "must be a problem with MY iPhone"; deflecting again.
It was peak season and the place had many empty beds and it is no suprise.
Me and some of the other guests were absolutely baffled by all the positive reviews this place has because our stay was so disappointing.

I must say my visit to this hostel is not short of comments.

To start with the positive :
- Great location in the center of Bodrum.
- Available owners and working people really trying to give the best to improve one’s stay.

Yet some points on the stay were negative :
- The private room I was given is really small and above all is not equiped with AC which makes the nights really difficult given the hot Turkish weather.
- Lack of water (the system doesn’t work correctly). I understood this is a common problem in the city. Eventhough the owner offered alternative solutions, this must be taken into account as it can be at some times impossible to take even a small shower.
- The location of the rooms on the terrasse make nights really hard as a bar is located on the floor and music is clearly above reasonable use for a hotel (really late and loud).

For people looking a friendly environment nicely located where the certain lack of confort will be compensated by the great atmosphere, I recommand highly.

For those looking for a place to rest and recharge batteries, I must say my experience here can’t push you to go.

- Su eksikliği (sistem düzgün çalışmıyor). Bunun şehirde yaygın bir sorun olduğunu anladım. Sahibi alternatif çözümler sunsa da, bazen küçük bir duş almak bile imkansız olabileceğinden, bu dikkate alınmalıdır.
- Terastaki odaların konumu geceleri gerçekten zorlaştırıyor, çünkü katta bir bar bulunuyor ve müzik bir otel için makul kullanımın açıkça üzerinde (gerçekten geç ve gürültülü).

Belli bir konfor eksikliğinin harika atmosferle telafi edileceği, güzel bir konuma sahip, samimi bir ortam arayan insanlar için şiddetle tavsiye ederim.

Dinlenmek ve enerji toplamak için bir yer arayanlar için buradaki deneyimimin sizi gitmeye zorlayamayacağını söylemeliyim.

Comfortable dormitories and great location!

Saba was an incredibly lovely host and even went the extra mile to organise the delivery of something I had left behind at the accomodation several days following check-out. Much appreciated!

Me and my friend passed by to visit our friend here. The owner and the guests were incredible and laid back. Would totally recommend it for backpackers. Also Miss Sebahat is a lovely and welcoming lady. 10/10!

Incredibly friendly staff with great advise for exploring Bodrum. La Luna Hostel is in a fantastic location with plenty of food options right outside the door, and the ferry port just a 10 minute walk away. Wish I had time for a longer stay.

Ein wirkliches tolles Hostel, vor allem für Alleinreisende. Die Lage könnte besser nicht sein, 100Meter bis zum Meer. Habe mein Aufenthalt verlängert, da ich mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt habe. Die Besitzerin Sabhat versucht einem zu helfen wo es geht und die anderen Mitarbeiter connecten die Besucher miteinander und zeigen ihnen auch die besten Plätze zum feiern und ausgehen. Für alle die in einem Hostel wohnen wollen, wo man schnell Anschluss finden möchte, absolut empfehlenswert.

Özellikle yalnız seyahat edenler için gerçekten harika bir pansiyon. Konumu daha iyi olamazdı, denize 100 metre uzaklıkta. Burada kendimi çok rahat hissettiğim için kalışımı uzattım. Sahibi Sabhat mümkün olan her yerde size yardımcı olmaya çalışıyor ve diğer çalışanlar ziyaretçileri birbirleriyle buluşturuyor ve onlara parti yapmak ve dışarı çıkmak için en iyi yerleri gösteriyor. Hızlı bir şekilde bağlantı kurmak istedikleri bir hostelde yaşamak isteyen herkese kesinlikle tavsiye edilir.

It's more than a hostel, like a family and super comfortable. It's pure experience, hence I recommend to all travellers. Will be back indeed.

I gave it 3 stars because of the location. It is close to main attractions and the beach. If you are staying 1 night its fine but It wasnt clean at all and I did not like it. Staff was neutral. They did let me keep my bag when I checked out- thanks for that.

Racist . I was treated very poorly. After coming here to make friends and being on the rooftop for an hour I asked staff ( who was no where to be found before this) for the WiFi . I was told your kind of ppl aren’t welcome here if you aren’t guest . I was then verbally and physically assaulted after asking to tell my friend I did meet good bye . Would not recommend .

Loved it here. Anil and Sabahat are wonderful hosts: relaxed, welcoming, and helped me make the most of Bodrum. It's a hostel, so.. start a conversation, make friends, dinner across the street at Otentik, short stroll through the market shops to Tequila St, and then off to a club to finish the night. Eat, sleep, rinse, repeat. 💙

Amazing stay at La Luna and one of the best stays I’ve been at during turkey. The staff are very hospital and go above and beyond to make sure guests are enjoying themselves. A very social place and good for meeting new people!

This hostel was one of the best places I have ever stayed in. For me everything was perfect there, full of good memories. Actually they made Bodrum the highlight of my trip to Turkey.

I’ve traveled to many hostels, and I recommend this hostel. Put shortly, the hostel is in a great location, dorms are clean, shared bathroom is clean, and the terrace is a chill place to hang out. Most sights are in walking distance, and the bus station is just around the corner. Theres a barbershop, grocery store, and few street food options for late night runs.

Sabahat is a welcoming and kind owner, she is flexible and willing to resolve issues if any.

Birçok hostele seyahat ettim ve bu hosteli tavsiye ederim. Kısaca söylemek gerekirse, pansiyon harika bir konumda, yatakhaneler temiz, ortak banyo temiz ve teras takılmak için sakin bir yer. Görülecek yerlerin çoğu yürüme mesafesindedir ve otobüs durağı hemen köşededir. Bir berber, bakkal ve gece geç saatlerde yapılan koşular için birkaç sokak yemeği seçeneği var.

A great hostel:). Very well run. The owner Sabahanta( apologies for butchering the name ) and her partner Eshan create a warm fun hostel.. great place to meet fellow travellers for young and old I travelled with my 22 year old son and it was a great 7 days. We were there in June 2022 It’s a beach town , a bit of history too …boat trips was the best and chats at the roof top bar Your doing. Something special there :)Donough

A nice hostel with a great location, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean.
A few things that prevented me giving a 5* review
- the water cuts off every other day to half the hostel so you need to use toilets / showers in other rooms.
-my mattress on one of the bunks beds was a bit lopsided, but it wasn't too bad.

My stay at La Luna led to my favourite experiences in Turkey so far! Firstly, the hostel itself is beautiful; it has a gorgeous patio with lots of space for socializing (and many people to socialize with!), and even has a ladder up to the rooftop where you can see an amazing sunset. My first night I went out with everyone from the hostel and stayed out till 3:30AM, ending with Anil the manager taking us out for late-night soup. Sabahat is unlike any other hostel owner I've met on my travels. I had incredible deep talks with her for hours on my first night on the roof, and that conversation led to her leading a group of us on a beautiful 10km hike in the nearby mountains. There was so much serendipity in the air while I was there!

Öncelikle, hostelin kendisi güzel; sosyalleşmek için çok fazla alana sahip muhteşem bir verandası var (ve sosyalleşebileceğiniz birçok insan!) ve hatta muhteşem bir gün batımını izleyebileceğiniz çatıya çıkan bir merdiveni bile var. İlk gecemde hosteldeki herkesle dışarı çıktım ve sabah 3:30'a kadar dışarıda kaldım, sonunda müdür Anil bizi gece geç saatlerde çorba içmeye çıkardı. Sabahat, seyahatlerimde tanıştığım diğer hostel sahiplerinden farklı. Çatıdaki ilk gecemde onunla saatlerce inanılmaz derin sohbetler ettim ve bu sohbet, bizi yakındaki dağlarda güzel bir 10 km yürüyüşe çıkarmasına yol açtı. Orada olduğum süre boyunca havada çok fazla şans vardı!

I am usually nitpicky about hostels but this one is exceptional. Probably the best I've ever stayed in. The owners Saba and Anil are legends. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in helping young travellers have an amazing time (including partying with us). I have a feeling they see younger versions of themselves in every guest. The location is perfect - stumbling distance from the beach and bars (which you will definitely be doing staying at this hostel). It's clean, plenty of day activities. Perfect for solo travellers, I met so many amazing people here who I plan on travelling with in the future. Cannot recommend this hostel enough.

One of the best hostels stays I've had! The location could not be more perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I met some great people; their rooftop bar is a nice relaxing place. It feels like a family home and a great place to party and enjoy yourself. Sabahat and Anil make the experience by being so warm and friendly. They even shared some fantastic home-cooked food with me. Ten stars! Thank you!!

Honestly, I didn't stay there, but my friend from France did. She said, it's wonderful there because not far from the town centre, historical sights and from the marina. She noted that staff treated her nicely. I hope you enjoy too.

By far terrible experience!
Ok lets start with facts, i have been in this hostel including last visit 3rd time.
So my final one was far worse , the guy worked there tried to get physical with one of the guests that was a female guest from USA.
Also they don’t bother you giving key so you can be locked out.
This guy was very ignorant, Only thing positive about this place its in the center.
Its safe to say its not the way shown in the picture, common areas usually filthy.
For good experience avoid it by any means!

The one and only hostel in the region. Right in the center of Bodrum town, close to the sea and entertainment. Friendly and humble. Owned by Sabahat Taşkın Hawker, an experienced host/ yoga instructor/ spiritual healer. Clean rooms with a fun oriented Turkish experience. If you're a backpacker it's a must stay location but if you'renot a hostelperson it'sdefinitelynot for you!

What a great place. Arrived from london to La Luna for a couple of days and ended up extending my stay. Felt very welcomed from the moment i arrived to La Luna. Well clean room, friendly stuff and had lots of fun. Anil and the other stuff are brilliant and great fun. They make you feel like you are at home. I will definitely go back there as soon as i have a chance. I would highly recommend La Luna to everyone.

I stayed there 3 nights, Sanat the owner is an amazing woman I loved her so much she was making sure am having a great time and not left alone, she took us out and she was so helpful.
The location is perfect in the middle of the center everything you need is near by.
My only concern was the cleanness of the toilet and the water pressure but the water problem is a common thing in bodrum as it seems.
Recommendation for the hotel : all rooms needs AC it was burning at night & the fan wasn’t enough.
Recommendation for travelers: go to la Luna hostel don’t think twice 😍

I didn’t feel like I’m staying at hostel at all but with family. Very safe and clean environment, comfortable beds, no problems with hot water at all and it’s located right in the city center. Thank you La Luna for an amazing experience in Bodrum!

Really good location, lovely attentive staff Sabahat and Anil go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and having a good time, provide good recommendations, and are also just super lovely and funny people. I felt extremely safe and looked after here and am really grateful for their help whilst I stayed here. The rooftop is also really nice to chill and clean rooms, would stay again for sure :)

This was a really nice hostel experience. Saba and Anil immediately welcomed me with open arms, inviting me out to dinner the first night. This was a sort of theme here, where they’d include the guests in whatever they’d do (if we wanted), so there was always something to do and a community to be with. The hostel itself is great, the rooftop provides an area for guests to hang out. Location could not be better, it’s in central Bodrum close to all the action and a block from the beach. My only regret is not staying longer. I will be back!

One of my favorite hostel experiences ever! The hostel itself is very cozy and clean. The staff are caring, attentive and incredibly hard working , they’ll make sure you have a memorable time in bodrum! If you’re traveling solo or with a friend, I definitely recommend La Luna. Would rate more stars if I could. One of the nicest hostels I've been to. The owner is an absolute sweetheart and I met her son as well, who took me and my friends out during the night. Although I never slept in the hostel because we did an all nighter and returned to the hostel by check out time, the beds are comfy from what I remember, the rooms are really huge, and she even allowed me to use her yoga equipment. Lovely rooftop balcony with a bar on the side of it. Amazing location as well. Wouldn't recommend any other place for anyone staying in bodrum :)

I had an lovely stay at La Luna. Saba is lovely and does her best to make you feel at home, and I ended up extending my stay. A+

Good whether you want to party or just to chill, and a nice crowd.

It was a wonderful experience to stay at La Luna Hostel. Me and my friends loved the hostel and its owner Sabahat so much that we actually extended our stay because we never wanted to leave. Great destination, cosy terrace, clean rooms and friendly people.
PS: I strongly recommend Sabahat's filter coffee with ginger :)

La Luna Hostel'de kalmak harika bir deneyimdi. Ben ve arkadaşlarım pansiyonu ve sahibi Sabahat'ı o kadar çok sevdik ki, aslında hiç ayrılmak istemediğimiz için kalış süremizi uzattık. Harika bir yer, rahat teras, temiz odalar ve dost canlısı insanlar.

It was a perfect hostel in a perfect location in Bodrum. It's in the center where you can find all fancy restaurants and pubs as well as süpermarkets and else.Just 100 meters to the beach. The rooms are very clean but especially the best thing which touched me was the lovely energy, the hospitality and the friendship that i found there.I really love them ❤

Bodrum'da mükemmel bir konumda mükemmel bir pansiyondu. Tüm lüks restoran ve pubların yanı sıra süpermarketler ve diğerlerini bulabileceğiniz merkezdedir. Plaja sadece 100 metre mesafededir. Odalar çok temiz ama özellikle beni etkileyen en iyi şey orada bulduğum güzel enerji, misafirperverlik ve dostluktu. Onları gerçekten seviyorum ❤

Amazing staff I'm a great location. I stayed in at La Launa for 4 nights and truly enjoyed my time the owner and staff treat you like family. The accomodations are clean and well taken care of. The location is perfect in the center of town and you are never far from any destination. Whenever I go back to Bodrum I will definitely be returning to La Luna.

Harika personel, harika bir konumdayım. La Launa'da 4 gece kaldım ve gerçekten zamanımın tadını çıkardım, sahibi ve personeli size aile gibi davranıyor. Konaklama yerleri temiz ve iyi bakılmış. Konum, şehrin tam merkezinde ve hiçbir yere uzak değilsiniz. Bodrum'a her geri döndüğümde kesinlikle La Luna'ya geri döneceğim.

The location is perfect very central and close to the beach and shops. Saba is lovely and a great host. Great for solo travellers to meet people, the roof terrace is a great hang out spot. Vegetarian home cooked dinner is super delicious. Would recommend to anyone visiting Bodrum!

Konumu mükemmel, çok merkezi ve plaja ve alışveriş merkezlerine yakın. Saba çok hoş ve harika bir ev sahibi. Yalnız seyahat edenlerin insanlarla tanışması için harika, çatı terası harika bir takılma noktası. Vejetaryen ev yapımı akşam yemeği çok lezzetli. Bodrum'u ziyaret eden herkese tavsiye ederim!

Excellent and welcoming staff. Great atmosphere and nice roof-terrace to hang around about. Ideal location and easy access to the beach / marina. The rooms were big and the beds were clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend La Luna to anyone who wants to experience the Bodrum nightlife and the beaches in the area.

Mükemmel ve misafirperver personel. Harika bir atmosfer ve etrafta dolaşmak için güzel bir çatı terası. İdeal konum ve plaja/marinaya kolay erişim. Odalar büyüktü ve yataklar temiz ve rahattı. Bodrum gece hayatını ve bölgedeki plajları deneyimlemek isteyen herkese La Luna'yı kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

A lovely place that makes you feel at your own summer house. Hostel has a minimalist yet practical concept which has a calming effect i believe. Location is the best -3mins to the beach- you can find! If you don't expect much, you'd have the best hostel experience of your life. Rooms only have the essentials, and there is a refrigerator in the common area. Terrace is beyond perfect. There are 2 hammocks and plenty of sitting areas. Breakfast, tea, coffee are not included in your reservation but you can find them too. The owner, Sabahat <3, is one of the best people I've ever met. She helped us a lot and it was a pleasure to see her in our group. You can use the terrace as long as you want, we liked it there so much that we cancelled our plans and stayed in the terrace the whole day chilling with our friends and dear Sabahat. I can happily say that there is no other place that I will stay in Bodrum. Last but not least, the vibe is very important so if you are respectful to all kinds of people, a spiritualist, a yoga lover or simply a chill individual with good wishes you would be very welcomed.

Odalarda sadece temel ihtiyaçlar mevcuttur ve ortak alanda buzdolabı bulunmaktadır. Teras mükemmel ötesi. 2 adet hamak ve bol miktarda oturma alanı bulunmaktadır. Rezervasyonunuza kahvaltı, çay, kahve dahil değildir ancak bunları da bulabilirsiniz. Sahibi Sabahat <3, şimdiye kadar tanıştığım en iyi insanlardan biri. Bize çok yardımcı oldu ve onu grubumuzda görmek bizim için bir zevkti. Terası dilediğiniz kadar kullanabilirsiniz, biz orayı o kadar beğendik ki planlarımızı iptal ettik ve bütün gün terasta oturup arkadaşlarımızla ve sevgili Sabahat'la vakit geçirdik. Bodrum'da konaklayabileceğim başka bir yer olmadığını rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim. Son fakat bir o kadar da önemlisi, atmosfer çok önemlidir, bu nedenle her türden insana saygılıysanız, bir maneviyatçıya, bir yoga aşığına veya sadece iyi dilekleri olan soğukkanlı bir kişiye karşı çok hoş karşılanırsınız.
