In October 2023, I visited a clinic in Antalya. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed, provided with a treatment plan, and underwent all the necessary diagnostic procedures. I want to highlight the very friendly reception staff, as well as a young man named Ata, who initially handled my communication. He is a genuinely nice person who always responded quickly and helped with all my inquiries. Unfortunately, he was replaced by people who were completely incompetent.
Since I required orthodontic treatment, I chose the option with aligners. After that, I was treated by a surgeon and an endodontist.
It should be noted that the surgeon did an excellent job. After the simultaneous removal of four wisdom teeth, I experienced no pain or even the slightest swelling on my face. However, the work of the endodontist left much to be desired. The fillings he placed lacked any aesthetic appeal. On one of the teeth, he left a chip exposed without covering it with filling material. The work was done carelessly, and no one bothered to ask if I wanted aesthetic fillings. Now, every tooth he treated needs to be redone because the work is not only unattractive but also impractical.
After the treatment, one of the filled teeth became sensitive. I was told this sensitivity would go away in a few months, but unfortunately, nearly a year later, the tooth still hurts. This further indicates that the work will need to be redone.
Next, the orthodontic treatment began. Almost three months later, I finally received the first set of aligners by mail. I wore them until the end of May 2024 and returned to the clinic for the orthodontist to check the progress and take new scans of my teeth for the second set of aligners. The doctor assured me that I would receive them within two weeks.
However, weeks turned into months, and I was constantly "fed promises." I had to reach out to the clinic staff on WhatsApp myself, as no one informed me of the reasons for the delay. They promised to give me an answer in a few days but would disappear for a week instead. Every time I reached out, I got excuses—they forgot, someone didn’t pass the information along, the doctor was on vacation, the staff member was sick, and so on. It is clear that the clinic owner does not monitor the work of their employees, especially those responsible for communicating with clients through messaging apps. In the end, my aligners were sent only three months after my visit at the end of May, which took twelve weeks instead of the promised two.
I paid a significant amount for my treatment but encountered a lack of proper service after the therapeutic phase, constant empty promises, and poor-quality work by the endodontist. In the end, I will have to redo his work at another clinic after finishing my aligner treatment.
It is also worth mentioning that I did not receive any receipts or invoices for the work done. All information about the cost was given only verbally, making it impossible to understand how the total amount was calculated.
Honestly, I initially wanted to recommend this clinic to two of my relatives, but based on my experience and the wasted money, I will not be doing so. Unfortunately, this is my honest conclusion.
UPD: I completed wearing the second set of aligners, but the promised results were not achieved. Restorations on other teeth had to be redone in a more qualified clinic. Avoid this place at all costs!
